Part II: Believing in Christ — Now Live!

I’m excited to announce that Part II of the ACNA Catechism Study Tool is now available on Amateur Anglican. This section covers Questions 18-151 of To Be a Christian, walking through the Apostles’ Creed and the sacraments in depth.

What’s New

Part II builds on the foundation laid in Part I with 128 questions exploring:

  • The Apostles’ Creed — A detailed examination of our faith in the triune God: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit
  • The Creeds and Scripture — Understanding the authority and purpose of our historic confessions
  • The Sacraments — Baptism, Holy Communion, Confirmation, Ordination, Marriage, and Absolution

The multi-page structure keeps navigation fast while maintaining the theological coherence of the catechism’s own organization.

How It Works

Each section includes:

  • Quick-jump navigation to any question
  • Previous/Next buttons for sequential study
  • Scripture references for deeper exploration
  • Podcast link placeholders (to be added as episodes are mapped)
  • Clear breadcrumb trails back to the main study tool

The same HTML/CSS approach that worked for Part I continues here — no JavaScript required, fully functional on WordPress Premium, and designed for accessibility.

The Real Work

I should be clear: AI generated the HTML code that powers this tool. The hard work — the theological depth, the careful wording, the biblical grounding — belongs to those who wrote the catechism itself. My role has simply been to make their work more accessible. My joy is in seeing To Be a Christian used more widely for the formation it was designed to provide.

Technical Notes

If you encounter any broken links or other technical issues, please email me at amateuranglican@gmail.com. This is a sizeable expansion (from 17 to 145 questions total), so I appreciate your patience as any bugs are worked out.

What’s Next

Parts III (Belonging to Christ) and IV (Becoming Like Christ) are planned for future development. For now, I’m focused on getting the podcast episodes mapped to these questions and continuing my own catechetical formation as a postulant.
