Since the times of the Ancient Greeks, there has been an understanding of the need for civic virtue. Many believe, myself included, proper and good government occurs when government acts in an unbiased fashion, when they act Justly, that all are equals under the law.

Thinking While Amateur: engaging with “Reading While Black” by Fr. Esau McCaulley

It has taken me the better part of two months to write this article. The current climate surrounding a discussion of race in America is a minefield. The two voices that seem to cry the loudest are 1) Racism is everywhere and if you don't see it you are a racist and 2) America is no longer racist in any way and these MARXISTS are trying to overthrow the government. Frankly, I don't like either of these camps.

Sabbath Reflections- Podcasting and the Catechism

Originally I thought I would have the summer to record and post podcasts of the Catechism. The release date for the Catechism kept getting pushed back. September and October were incredibly busy so I was relieved the release didn't happen then. Then in early December came the e-mail: the electronic version of the Catechism has been released with publication at the end of January 2020. I think I saw the e-mail the day I worked until 2:30 am.
