It has taken me the better part of two months to write this article. The current climate surrounding a discussion of race in America is a minefield. The two voices that seem to cry the loudest are 1) Racism is everywhere and if you don't see it you are a racist and 2) America is no longer racist in any way and these MARXISTS are trying to overthrow the government. Frankly, I don't like either of these camps.

Originally I thought I would have the summer to record and post podcasts of the Catechism. The release date for the Catechism kept getting pushed back. September and October were incredibly busy so I was relieved the release didn't happen then. Then in early December came the e-mail: the electronic version of the Catechism has been released with publication at the end of January 2020. I think I saw the e-mail the day I worked until 2:30 am.
